• name, surname, email address, date of birth, and other contact details (address, telephone number, and e-mail address), to register a Le Creuset account or purchase as a guest user, or to subscribe to our marketing communications on the web or at the store.
• your purchase data, for example date and time of purchase, delivery data, product and payment data and details, for managing your orders.
• data about your online browsing history (e.g., online identifiers - such us your IP address, browser version, operating system, length of the visit, returning user, geographic origin), collected during your visits at the Website (whether you are registered user or not), by using logs and/or tracking technologies such as “cookies” (for information on data collection through cookies, please see our Cookies Policy here, for improving our services and ads, or for our statistical analysis - in most cases we will not be able to identify you from this technical information.
• your feedback, requests, complaints, questions, or interactions with us (for example your messages, chats, social media posts, emails or phone calls).

The personal data collected from you when you use the Website or otherwise provide personally identifying information is so protected and you have the privacy rights explained in paragraph 8) below.

The data controller of the e-commerce services offered through the Website is Le Creuset Luxemburg SARL with registered office in Le Creuset Luxemburg SARL, 14, Grande rue, L-1660 Luxembourg, Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.

If you consent to receive marketing communications from us you will become part of Le Creuset group consumer database, that is managed, as joint-data controller, by Le Creuset Luxemburg SARL and Le Creuset Group AG, with registered office in Neuhofstrasse 4 , Baar, Zugo, 6340 Switzerland(which appointed as representative in the EU Le Creuset SL, VAT number B62153630, with offices in Paseo de Gracia 9, 2º, 08007 Barcelona, Spain), based on a joint-controllership agreement essentially providing (a) Le Creuset Group AG in charge with the general strategy governing marketing and personalised customer experience; (b) local Le Creuset entities benefiting and implementing said strategy, as well as independently developing marketing communications/initiatives locally (within a specific country); (c) both joint-controllers required to deal with your data subject’s rights requests.

We may process your data for the following purposes:

• FOR OUR LEGAL OBLIGATIONS We may have to process some data about you to fulfil our legal obligations and other obligations arising from instructions received from authorities.
• TO CREATE A LE CREUSET ACCOUNT We will use your data to create a Le Creuset account which will give you access to a series of advantages dedicated to registered users, to better enjoy our services, such as faster checkout, save multiple shipping addresses, view and track orders, receive special coupons and discounts. Any processing activity is required to enable us to provide these services to you as a Le Creuset account holder.
• TO MANAGE YOUR ORDERS AND PROVIDE OUR PRODUCTS, SERVICES, AND ASSISTANCE TO YOU We will use your data to manage our contractual relationship with you, your purchase of products on the Website and or in our Le Creuset stores, your use of the Website, any subsequent after-sales assistance, or your participation in our contests. We may have to process some data about you for our administrative purposes connected to our contractual relationship with you such as accounting, billing and audit, payment card verification, fraud screening, safety, security, systems testing, maintenance, and statistical analysis. Occasionally we may need to contact you for administrative or operational reasons. For instance, to send you confirmation of your purchase. We will also use your personal data to reply to your requests sent through our Website forms or other channels. This processing activity is required to enable us to provide our services to you. We may process your data based on our legitimate interest (duly balanced with your rights and freedoms) to send you follow up emails in the event you have added items on our online cart without completing the purchase. In the event you do not finalise the purchase within a certain period of time, no further follow up communications will be sent.
• TO INFORM YOU ABOUT NEWS OR OFFERS ON LE CREUSET PRODUCTS If you have consented to our doing so (for example, by subscribing to our newsletter when you create an account on the Website), we will send you personalised marketing communications and news about initiatives relating to Le Creuset promoted by its group subsidiaries, and local affiliates and partners, also depending on your preferences.  We will contact you by email, SMS or social media, but also by using automated means. Such communications will relate to Le Creuset products or to new store openings, exclusive events, contests, surveys, demonstrations organised by Le Creuset or special offers that you may like. Opt-out: You can stop receiving our updates at any time, free of charge, by clicking on the unsubscribe button at the end of any newsletter. We will process your opt-out as soon as possible, but in some circumstances you may receive a few more messages until the opt-out is processed completely. Please, remember we do not pass or sell your contact details and other personal data to other companies for their marketing purposes.
• RE-TARGETING / TAILOR OUR OFFERS AND IMPROVE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE We would like to use your data to tailor our services and offers to your needs and preferences to provide you with a personalised Le Creuset customer experience. We will do this by analysing your habits or interests, for example, in relation to most viewed products, your interaction with us on social media, which pages of our Website you visit, which content of our offers you read. We do this mainly through cookies and similar technologies, also in combination with your data and preferences collected once you subscribe to our personalised marketing communications. • PRODUCT REVIEW In case you have purchased one of our products, we may send an email asking for your products’ review. We are interested at product reviews from our customers (if they wish to provide such information) to constantly improve our products and services. At the end of the purchase process, we may also invite you to write your product review. The review is not mandatory, and you are free to submit it or not.
• WHATSAPP FOR BUSINESS  Some of our physical stores use WhatsApp for Business with customers which request so, just in order to provide support and send information about our products. This channel is not aimed to perform the sale of our products. No credit card data or other sensitive information will be requested via Whatsapp. You can learn more about Whatsapp terms and warranties for the international transfer of data in www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea. You may exercise your data protection rights, including to revoke/opt out and the erasure of the data, by contacting your store or at privacy@lecreuset.com. Data retentio by WhatsApp is covered in the App privacy policy; Le Creuset will delete such information after 1 (one) year. 

Security - We place great importance on the security of the data of our users. Le Creuset will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is kept secure, only used for the purposes set forth in this privacy notice (and not for any other purposes), and it can be accessed or corrected upon your request. We use organisational, technical and administrative security measures to help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your personal data. Whilst we cannot guarantee any of these events will never occur, we use all reasonable efforts to prevent it.

Where - To provide you with the services described above, your data may be processed or stored both in and outside your country of residence and both in and outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Given the global nature of Le Creuset programs, some of the affiliated companies and partners of Le Creuset that act as processors may access your personal information and may be established in countries outside your country of residence or in countries outside the EEA. In any case, your data may be transferred only to non-EEA countries offering adequate protection according to European law (as is the case of Switzerland where Le Creuset Group AG is based) or, if this is not the case, under specific contractual arrangements to ensure adherence to European personal data protection rules and standards (for instance we use the model clauses provided by the European Commission for our data processing contracts). In any case, where your personal information is sent to countries other than your country of residence or in countries outside the EEA, your data will be protected by adequate safety systems, which are constantly updated and maintained in accordance with Data Protection Laws.

We will retain your personal data for as long as we need it for the purposes for which it was collected, after which it will be destroyed or rendered unusable. For example, we may have to keep data about your purchase to comply with our legal obligations or resolve disputes. Your Le Creuset account will be kept live until you request us to cancel it. We will keep your information for the purpose of providing you with newsletters, marketing communications and personalised contents for as long as you consent. Your personal data collected for marketing is checked periodically to verify whether you are still interested in receiving our marketing communications. After a certain time without interactions, we might send you a communication to confirm that you wish to stay in touch with us. Otherwise, we will stop sending you marketing communications.

It is necessary for you to provide us with some personal data in order to enable us to comply with our contractual obligations to you. Without your personal data, you may be unable to purchase products from us or register a Le Creuset account on the Website. It may be necessary for us to retain some of this data for the purpose of fulfilling our legal obligations. Providing personal data for marketing purpose, personalized contents and newsletter is optional. Not providing your data for these purposes will not have any negative consequences for you, however this means that we cannot provide you with Le Creuset personalised marketing communications and promotional offers. • to information: you have the right to access the information we process about you and certain supplementary information.;
• to rectification: you can request us to correct or update your data in our database;
• to erasure: you can request us to delete your data from our database (right to be forgotten), unless we still need it for some valid reasons; with specific reference to marketing purposes, (a) we will no longer collect your data once you withdraw your consent; and (b) of course, should you wish to delete personal data previously collected, you can ask for their erasure in accordance with this Section;
• to restriction of the processing: you can request us to suspend your data from being processed in our database;
• to data portability: to receive copy of your personal data or in certain circumstances and where technically feasible to transmit it to another organization; and
• to object to the processing and to withdraw consent at any time particularly to the data being processed for direct marketing and profiling related to such marketing;
