1.3 How can we contact you? If we need to contact you, we will do so by telephone or by writing to the email or postal address you provided when placing your order.
1.4 ‘Consumer’ means any natural person acting for purposes which fall outside the scope of their trade, business or profession.
1.5 ‘In writing’ includes emails. Where we use the terms ‘in writing’ or ‘written’ in these terms and conditions, this includes emails.
2.1 By placing an order on our Website it shall be regarded as an offer to purchase products under these terms and conditions.
2.2 After you place an order, you may receive an e-mail from us to acknowledge that we have received your order with a summary of the products selected, the delivery details provided and payment method. Please note that receipt of this email does not mean that your order has been accepted by us.
2.3 Your order is accepted and a contract is created between you and us when we have dispatched the products which you ordered and Le Creuset have sent a confirmation of dispatch email to you.
2.4 All orders are subject to our acceptance and the availability of the products. If we are unable to supply you with the product(s) due to an error (for example, the product is no longer in stock or available, or there has been an error in the description on the Website), we will inform you that your order has been rejected and will therefore not be processed. If you have already paid for the order, we will refund the full amount as soon as possible.
2.5 The products sold by Le Creuset on this Website are not intended for resale. If you are a business intending to purchase products for resale, please contact: contact.lu@lecreuset.com.
3.1 We take the utmost care to ensure the accuracy of product descriptions, photographs, information and prices. We therefore accept no liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions in product descriptions.
3.2 Products may differ slightly from their pictures. The images of the products on our Website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that a device's display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the products. Your product may vary slightly from those images.
3.3 For further information, please see our ‘Care & Use’ page and our FAQ’ page here.
3.4 Stock availability. Stock availability will be shown on the Website, and whilst while we endeavour to ensure products are always available, there may be times when products will be temporarily out of stock. In these instances, there is an option that can be selected to be included on a waiting list and you will be emailed when the product is back in stock.
4.1. Prices include VAT but not delivery costs. All prices as displayed on our Website, except in the case of error, will be in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT, at the prevailing rate, but exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due. The applicable delivery costs will be clearly displayed during the checkout process.
4.2. What happens if we get the price wrong. Despite our best efforts, it is always possible that a pricing error on our Website may occur. If the product you ordered was incorrectly priced, we will normally, at our discretion, either (i) contact you and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or (ii) cancel the order, or (iii) reject your order and notify you of the rejection. Orders will not be accepted if there is a pricing error.
4.3. Price changes. Prices are subject to change without notice. Any subsequent purchases of the same product cannot be guaranteed at the same price, but changes will not affect your order, it being understood that the price of the product is the price on the day of the order.
4.4 When and how to pay?
We will not charge your credit or debit card until your order has been dispatched.
We accept credit or debit cards issued in Luxembourg: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. By submitting an order placed on our website, you confirm that the payment details you have provided are valid and correct. All transactions are in euros. We also accept payments via PayPal, but please note that if you wish to pay for your products via PayPal and do not yet have a PayPal account, you will need to create a new PayPal account immediately. Any order placed via PayPal will be charged at the time your order is submitted. If we are unable to process your order for any reason, the amount charged will be credited to your PayPal account.
We do not accept cash, cheques, gift vouchers or vouchers as payment for online purchases.
4.5 The maximum transaction amount is €3,500.
5.1 Delivery information and charges. Orders placed via the Luxembourg website can only be delivered to addresses in Luxembourg.
Delivery charges are calculated based on the products, the total order value and the chosen delivery service. Standard delivery is FREE for all orders over €50. Delivery takes place within 1 to 3 working days.
Please note that working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. We will make every effort to meet these delivery times, but we cannot guarantee them in certain parts of the territory.
If the first home delivery attempt is unsuccessful, our carrier will deliver the parcel to a collection point, where it will be available to the Customer for a period of 10 working days.
5.2 Le Creuset applies a standard pricing policy across the territory, which means that the prices charged to customers are the same regardless of where they live. We believe that price consistency within the same currency zone is important.
5.3 Delayed delivery. If the supply of products is delayed for any reason, we will inform you as soon as possible. If the delay exceeds 30 days from the date of your order, you are entitled to cancel the contract. In this case, we undertake to refund you within 14 days. We are not liable for delays beyond our control.
5.4 When do you become responsible for the product? Ownership of the product will pass to you as soon as (i) we have received full payment and (ii) you or a third party designated by you have taken physical possession of the product. We may reclaim any product you have ordered at any time prior to the transfer of title in the event of a breach of these terms and conditions, fraud or negligence. The transfer of risk in respect of the product shall take place upon delivery (or when a carrier appointed by you collects it from us).
5.5 Reservations. If, despite the care taken not only with the packaging but also with the choice of carrier, the product delivered is visibly damaged or non-compliant (e.g. open packaging), you may (i) refuse delivery and state the reason on the delivery note or (ii) accept delivery, but express your reservations on the delivery note and refrain from signing it. In all cases, you must notify the carrier and Le Creuset Luxemburg S.à r.l. of your reservations.
6.1 Right of withdrawal. We want to ensure our customers’ complete satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the item you have ordered and you are a consumer within the European Economic Area (‘EEA’), you have the right to cancel any order placed (except for products made to your specifications or personalized) without giving any reason at any time within fourteen (14) calendar days from the day the product is delivered (the withdrawal period). Delivery takes place when you, or the person you have designated, physically takes possession of the product. If your order is split into several deliveries over several days, you have up to 14 calendar days from the day after you (or a person designated by you) receive the last product ordered as part of the order you wish to cancel. If you have purchased a set or a batch of items, the right of withdrawal may apply to the set as a whole rather than to a single item within the batch.
6.2 How can I exercise my right of withdrawal? If you enter into the contract as a consumer and wish to cancel the order without incurring any liability towards us, you must contact us within fourteen (14) calendar days from the day the product is delivered:
(ii) or by post to 14, Grande rue, L-1660 Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
(iii) or you may use the cancellation form available here,
with a clear statement of your decision to terminate the contract of sale.
To comply with the withdrawal period, you simply need to send notification of your decision to exercise your right of withdrawal before the expiry of the period allowed for exercising this right.
6.3 How can I return the product? If you cancel your order, you must return the product in its entirety, unused and undamaged, in its original packaging, together with the accessories, the care and usage guide, and all labels, to be sent to Le Creuset: 14, Grande rue, L-1660 Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date on which you notify us of your decision to cancel the contract.
6.4 When will I receive my refund? We will refund the price paid for your product within 14 calendar days (14) from the date on which you informed us of your decision to exercise your right of withdrawal. We reserve the right not to process the refund until we have received the product or you have provided us with proof that the product has been returned to us, whichever is earlier. We will use the same payment method for the refund as was used for the original order.
6.5 Postage costs associated with returning the product will not be refunded; these costs will be at your expense.
6.6 We reserve the right to refuse the returned product or to refuse to refund the price paid if the product is not returned in accordance with the provisions of clause 6 above.
What happens if you receive the wrong order or if the product is damaged on receipt or upon delivery? Please contact us by email at contact.lu@lecreuset.com. We will then determine the reason for the return and send you an email confirming your reference number and, if necessary, the returns procedure and details of the return address.
8.1 How can I return the product? If we have asked you to return the product, you must return it to us in its entirety, undamaged, in the event that you have received an incorrect order – in its original packaging, accompanied by the accessories, the maintenance and user manual, and all labels.
8.2 We cannot be held responsible for packaging that is not returned. We therefore recommend that you use a traceable and insured delivery service to return products to us.
Will I receive a refund? If we consider that the product does not match the order or has been damaged, we will refund the price paid for your product as well as the return postage costs using the same payment method you used. If the reason for the return is not due to a product that was not ordered or was damaged, we reserve the right to refuse the returned product or to refuse to refund the purchase price paid and the return postage costs.
Most Le Creuset products come with a commercial guarantee which supplements your statutory rights. In short, the guarantee covers all defects in manufacture and/or materials, provided that the product is used under normal domestic conditions and in accordance with the care and usage instructions provided. It does not cover normal wear and tear, commercial use of the product or misuse of the product. For full details regarding the warranty period for each product range, please visit our ‘Warranty’ page.
10.1 Statutory guarantee of conformity
Who is covered by this guarantee? All consumers, i.e. any natural person acting outside the scope of a business activity.
What is meant by a non-compliant product? A non-compliant product is one that you cannot use as you normally would, whose functions or qualities do not match the description provided or what was advertised, which does not have the characteristics you agreed with us, or which does not meet the specific purpose you intended and which you communicated to us.
What is the warranty period? It is two years from the date of delivery.
Remedies. In the event of a non-conforming product, you may choose between repair and replacement of the product; however, we are entitled to refuse your choice if it would entail clearly disproportionate costs for us. If you opt for the product to be repaired rather than replaced, but it unfortunately proves impossible for us to repair the product, we will replace your product, thereby extending the statutory warranty period for conformity by a further two years.
10.2. Warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq., Civil Code)
Who is entitled to this guarantee? Any purchaser, namely any consumer and non-specialist trader.
What is meant by hidden defects? A hidden defect is defined as a fault in an item such that it renders it unfit for its intended purpose, or which so impairs that use that the purchaser would not have bought it, or would have bought it at a lower price, had they been aware of it. A defect is said to be hidden when it cannot be detected by a simple examination.
When can you make a claim under the warranty? You may make a claim under the warranty for hidden defects without undue delay from the time the defect is discovered. In all cases, you must provide evidence of the hidden defect.
Remedies. In this situation, you have the choice of keeping the product and receiving a partial refund of the purchase price, or returning the product to us and receiving a full refund of the purchase price.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or complaints regarding a product. You can contact our Customer Services team by email at contact.lu@lecreuset.com providing as much detail as possible about the problem you have encountered. You may also attach photos and/or videos. It is important to keep your receipt or invoice, as you will be asked to provide these.
